Your kids make me smile. When you bring your child to my office, I will do my best to put them at ease while diagnosing and treating their various skin conditions. When required, I perform skin surgery and have made it a point to fine-tune my surgical skills and take care to leave no scars or only the most cosmetically appealing scars. From diagnosing lumps, bumps, and rashes to removing warts and birthmarks, I am comfortable treating your children.
I obtained my medical degree at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 2006. My dermatology training was completed with Greg Messenger MD after completing my pediatric training at Sparrow Hospital and MSU. I am board certified in pediatrics, a member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and make it a point to stay up to date with current medical literature. Practicing pediatric dermatology at Dr. Messenger’s office since 2009 has been a very rewarding career choice. I stay busy teaching pediatric and family practice residents through Michigan State, and lecturing to physicians all across the state. In 2018, I took on a new challenge, coordinating and teaching the five week dermatology course at Michigan State’s Osteopathic Medical School.
On a more personal note, I am married and have three daughters. I am proud of my tech-savvy husband (who set me up with this website), and my three daughters- an animal-loving and athletic 15-year-old, a seven-year-old who loves to read and create, and an energetic five-year-old who loves to ask interesting questions – they all make me laugh daily. I spend my free time with family and friends and enjoy rollerblading, reading, and photography.
